Sarnia Sole Burner
The Sarnia Sole Burner takes place on June 27, 2026 at Suncor Park / Wawanosh Wetlands, 1086 Modeland Road, Sarnia, ON. Races run on a roughly 2.35 km paved loop; the first half of the loop contains several short hills rising to about 20 m per loop.
Three professionally timed loop races are offered:
- 5K(ish) Run - two laps approximately
- 3 Hour Sole Burn - most completed loops in three hours
- 6 Hour Sole Burn - most completed loops in six hours
Packet pickup is available the day before at Refined Fool (London Road) or on race morning at the start line. Water and aid will be available at the start/finish with prepackaged snacks; participants are asked to bring a reusable cup and any personal gels. Three portable washrooms will be located at the start/finish.
Six-hour entrants are allowed one drop bag. Limited tent space is available on a first-come, first-served basis and is not for overnight use. Pacers will be provided for the final hour of the 6 Hour event. Every 5K finisher receives a Sole Burner medal; every registration includes a Sarnia Sole Burner technical t-shirt; 6 Hour finishers also receive a mesh trucker hat. Aid station visits must not exceed five minutes or the entrant will be recorded as DNF.
Prize money is offered for the 3 and 6 Hour races if the event sells out: $100 for the 3 Hour winner and $250 for the 6 Hour winner, plus free entry into the 2027 event. All event swag is produced locally. One hundred percent of proceeds are donated to a rotating charity; this year’s beneficiary is Heaven’s Wildlife Rescue. Parking at Wawanosh Wetlands is very limited; alternative parking is suggested at St Pats and St Anne. There are no refunds or bib transfers. No qualification is required, but completing a standard marathon is recommended for 6 Hour entrants. Sole Burner Endurance reserves the right to refuse entry.
