Escondido, United States • 21 Feb 2026

Event overview

The San Pasqual Valley Trail Race is the 9th annual edition, held on February 21, 2026, at the San Pasqual Staging Lot, 18194 Bandy Canyon Rd, Escondido, CA 92025. The event offers the following distances:

  • 20 Mile
  • Half Marathon (13.1 mi)
  • 10K (6.2 mi)

The event is limited to 450 runners. The Half Marathon serves as the final Championship qualifier for that category. A free wine tasting from local vineyards is provided at the finish area.

Course and logistics

The courses run through vineyards, orange groves, groves and grass fields. About 75% of the course is single-track trail. Elevation gain varies by race, roughly 200' to 1,200'. The Half Marathon and 20 Mile courses are out-and-back routes that summit Raptor Ridge twice; the 10K is described as relatively flat.

Parking for runners, spectators, volunteers, and staff is at the San Pasqual trail head parking lot, with overflow parking nearby (walkable distance). Packet pickup is scheduled at Fleet Feet San Diego on February 19, with a second pickup location to be announced. Course maps are available through the event organizer.
