Salute to Veterans 5K/10K/Half Marathon - Chattanooga

The Salute to Veterans event takes place along the Tennessee River Walk in Chattanooga and includes in-person and virtual options. Distances offered are a 5K, a 10K, and a half marathon. All courses are out and back and are described as not completely flat but not hilly.

Registration includes a race shirt and a custom finisher medal for participants. Participants registered by October 29 are guaranteed race swag in their size; afterward items are available while supplies last. Veterans may register for free and active duty military may register for a reduced fee of $15. A government issued military ID is required for those entry categories.

Awards are presented to the top three male and female overall finishers in each distance, to the top three overall Masters, Grand Masters, and Senior Masters male and female finishers, and to the top three athletes in five-year age groups beginning at 10 and under across all distances. Water stations will be available at approximately every 1.5 miles. Participants must finish at no slower than a 16 minute per mile pace.

The virtual option allows participants to run or walk at an alternate location, submit results online, and receive event results after the race date. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
