The Salt Settlers Six Hour Race is a timed event in the Lower Otter valley. Participants run or walk as many laps of a 4.4 km loop as they can within the six-hour period.

Course and Format

The looped course is described as nearly flat, with an ascent of 12 m per lap. Completing five laps equals a half marathon distance, and ten laps equals a full marathon. The event is open to both runners and walkers. Participants can enter as solo competitors or as a two-person relay team.
