The Salt Settlers Six Hour Race is a timed endurance event held in the Lower Otter Valley near Budleigh Salterton. Participants complete as many 4.4km loops as possible within six hours on a mostly flat course with a slight 12m ascent per loop. The race accommodates runners and walkers, offering solo and pairs relay options.

Five loops equal a half marathon distance, while ten loops make a full marathon. Runners have access to an aid station after each loop, and all participants receive a special memento.
