Event

Salt Settlers Six Hour Race takes place on Saturday 3 October 2026 in the Lower Otter valley, with the event base at Budleigh Salterton Cricket Club. The event is a timed six hour race in which participants complete as many laps as they can on a looped course. It is open to runners and walkers and offers solo and pairs relay options. Participants receive a memento and have access to an aid station after every loop. The event base provides a cafe, bar and hot showers.

Course

The course uses a loop of 4.4 km with about 12 m of ascent per loop. Parts of the route can be underwater on high spring tides; the route is scheduled to avoid the highest tides.
