The Salt Flats Endurance Runs take place May 1-2, 2026 at the Bonneville Salt Flats International Speedway near Wendover, UT. Distances offered include:
- 100 Miler
- 100K
- 50 Miler
- 50K
- 10K
- 5K
Registration closes April 24, 2026. The event uses the salt flats area that hosts land-speed events.
Course and cutoffs
All courses start and finish at the Bonneville Salt Flats Speedway. The route begins with a long section of salt followed by mud-flats, then connects with the "Islands" terrain. The 50K goes out to the "No Post" aid station at 15.5 miles and then reverses for an exact 50K. The longer distances continue onto rolling hills and include multiple significant climbs; the 100-mile course crosses into Nevada. Race time limits are set so that the 50K has a 10-hour duration, the 50-mile a 14-hour duration, the 100K an 18-hour duration, and the 100-mile a 36-hour duration.
Awards and shorter races
Awards are given for the top three men and top three women overall in each distance. A 5K fun run began in 2021 and a 10K was added in 2026. Participants in the 5K and 10K receive a tech shirt and bib. Finisher awards for those shorter races will be added in 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
