Course and race details
All distances start and finish at the Bonneville Salt Flats Speedway. The route runs the same salt section used for land-speed events. The initial approach includes about 13 miles of salt followed by roughly 3 miles of mud-flats, then a section near the "Islands" - mountain peaks rising from the salt. The 50K runs out to the "No Post" aid station at 15.5 miles and then reverses for an exact 50K. The 50 Mile, 100K and 100 Mile courses include rolling hills and connect two and four significant climbs respectively; the 100 Mile course crosses into Nevada. Finish lines return to the start area. Cutoff durations are listed as 10 hours for the 50K, 14 hours for the 50 Mile, 18 hours for the 100K and 36 hours for the 100 Mile.
The 5K was introduced in 2021 and a 10K is added in 2026; these are simple out-and-back courses. Bib pickup will be available on race day. Participants in the 5K and 10K receive a tech shirt and bib; finishers awards are being added in 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
