The Salt Flats Endurance Runs take place at the Bonneville Salt Flats Speedway near Wendover, UT. The event offers multiple race distances:
- 100 Miler
- 100K
- 50 Miler
- 50K
- 10K
- 5K
A 5k fun run was introduced in 2021, and a 10k was added in 2026. Participants in the 5K and 10K receive a Salt Flats Endurance Runs tech shirt and a bib number. Finishers awards for the 5K and 10K will be added in 2026.
Course
All courses start at the Bonneville Salt Flats Speedway and run sections of the salt flats used for land-speed record attempts. The route includes about 13 miles of exposed salt followed by roughly 3 miles of mud-flats, then connects to the "Islands," which are mountain peaks rising out of the salt. The 50K uses an out-and-back to the "No Post" aid station at 15.5 miles for an exact distance. The 50 Mile, 100K and 100 Mile routes continue onto rolling hills and include multiple significant climbs; the 100 Mile course crosses into Nevada at a historical emigrant route point.
