The Saddle Hills Ultra takes place in Saddle Hills County, starting and finishing at the Spring Lake Ski Hill. The course utilizes scenic equestrian trails that wind through the foothills of the region. This rugged terrain provides runners with a direct experience of the local landscape and its natural features.

The event is built around a 20 km loop. Each completed lap includes over 200 metres of elevation gain. The route consists of rolling hills and natural paths typical of the surrounding area.

Participants can select from the following distances:

• 20 km: consisting of one full loop.
• 40 km: consisting of two loops.
• 60 km: consisting of three loops.
