Logistics and safety
The event place is listed as Phyllis Washington Park and uses the M-Trail Trailhead and a summit aid station. Base aid station services, heated tents, and an overnight base aid station are part of event support. The summit aid station requires crew to haul gear to and from the top; volunteers should expect strenuous hiking and carrying about 20-40 lbs on snow and may need traction devices and a headlamp.
The organizers reserve the right to cancel, delay, or shorten the event for safety. Possible triggers include temperatures below zero, windchill below -10, impaired visibility from snow, or other unsafe course conditions. Organizing partners include Run the Rut and Runner's Edge.
