Run Whiskey Run Trail Event
Run Whiskey Run takes place at the Whiskey Run Trailhead, located approximately 20 miles south of Coos Bay in Bandon, Oregon. The event utilizes a single-track trail system that is typically used by mountain bikers but is reserved for runners during this event. The trails are situated within a shaded and sheltered section of the forest, featuring rolling terrain with a loamy surface.
Participants can choose from three distinct distances:
- 1.5 miles (Shirley Temple loop)
- 5 miles (Whiskey Ginger loop)
- 10 miles (Double Shot, consisting of two full loops)
The courses consist of 100% trail surfaces and are not compatible with strollers. The event provides course support until 12 PM. Registration options are available online and on the day of the race, with specific pricing tiers for club members and students.
The venue is located on Oregon’s Adventure Coast, a region known for coastal activities such as hiking, fishing, and crabbing. Facilities at the site are limited to the trailhead area; there are no dedicated spaces for changing or showering. Packet pick-up and check-in occur at the Upper Whiskey Run Parking Lot on E Humphreys Rd. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
