Run the River Ultra Challenge

The Run the River Ultra Challenge, held annually at Petal River Park in Petal, Mississippi, is a 6-hour trail running and walking event featuring a roughly 2.5-mile loop course. The scenic route winds through meadows, single-track trails, hardwood forests, wetlands, and historic train trestles along the Leaf River. Participants can compete solo, completing as many loops as possible, or join 2-4 person relay teams, passing a baton at each exchange.

The event fosters a lively, tailgate-style atmosphere where runners and supporters create personal rest zones.
