Mississippi Trail 50

Laurel, United States • 6-7 Mar 2026

Mississippi Trail 50 takes place on the Longleaf Horse Trail in the De Soto National Forest just south of Laurel, Mississippi. The event offers four distances: 100 miles, 50 miles, 50K, and 20K, all run on rolling forest terrain with mostly single-track and some double-track logging roads. It features a community atmosphere with post-race food, finisher mementos, and belt buckles for 50M and 100M finishers.

The 100M is an all-or-nothing, seven 12.5-mile loops plus two 6.1-mile loops, with a 30-hour limit. For the 50K and 50M events, there is a 12-hour time limit. Runners may switch distances mid-race (not eligible for trophies), and a famous MUTS aid station is a highlight for many finishers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
