Run for the Angels Memorial Run and Family Day
Run for the Angels and Family Day is a community memorial event at Riverstone Park in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. The event honors babies and children who died suddenly and unexpectedly and supports the emotional support programs of the Northwest Infant Survival & SIDS Alliance.
The gathering includes a remembrance ceremony at the amphitheater near the pond, where names of children being honored are read aloud. The ceremony is also streamed live for those who cannot attend in person. Over 130 memorial signs line the route to recognize loved ones.
A memory making area offers activities such as creating luminaries, painting memory rocks, and designing buttons; participants may bring a photo to include with a project. A silent auction is held in person, with proceeds benefiting NISSA.
The main run and walk follows a scenic course along the Centennial Trail with views of the Spokane River. Strollers and bicycles are welcome and participants may walk or run at their own pace.
Runner packet pick-up and race packet collection occur on event day at Riverstone Park. Registration carries a fee of $25. The event is planned rain or shine; if hazardous conditions require cancellation, registration fees will be treated as donations and no refunds will be issued.
