Rumble in the Jungle Trail Run

Rumble in the Jungle is a multi-distance trail running event in Bindarri National Park with an event hub at Eastern Dorrigo Community Hall, Ulong, NSW. Courses pass rainforest, waterfalls and lookouts and mix forest roads, management trails and singletrack to traverse the Coffs Harbour hinterland.

The event offers multiple distances and categories, with medals for all finishers and trophies for the top three male and female in each distance. Age groups are used for results and awards; minimum ages are applied by distance: 100km and 50km require entrants to be 18 years or older, 30km requires 16 years, 21km requires 14 years, and the 8km has no minimum age but runners under 10 must run with an adult.

The 100km and 50km ultras include detailed aid station support, drop bag locations and cut-offs. The 100km requires a qualifying trail run completed within a specified period. Mandatory gear is checked at bib collection and must be carried on course; requirements include a charged mobile phone with specified apps, water capacity, emergency equipment, hi-vis clothing for night or road sections, and a live GPS tracker for the 100km.

Logistics include an optional bus for some distances, limited camping at the event hub, a cupless policy at aid stations, and an old shoe recycling program. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
