Course, facilities and race rules

The course runs mainly on the Bay Trail with some asphalt paths and passes through the foreshore camping area. The marathon is two laps, and the half and marathon continue past Rosebud toward Capel Sound with a final turnaround before Rye Pier. The organiser describes the route as flat and fast. The course will be marked with orange flags, cones, fences and directional signage; timing mats will be at all turnaround points and a disposable timing device is built into each race bib.

Water and sports drink are provided approximately every 3-4 km for the half marathon; the 10 km has two drink stations and the 5 km has no drink stations. There are taps, public toilet blocks and portable toilets along the course. St John First Aid crews will be at the finish and on the course. Bike parking and a clothing-bag drop area are available. No dogs, bikes, scooters or rollerblades are allowed on the course. Athletes are responsible for completing the correct course distance.
