Rosebud Running Festival

The Rosebud Running Festival takes place on 7 June 2026 and offers multiple running events starting and finishing at Rosebud Skate Park (corner Nepean Hwy and Boneo Rd). Distances on the programme include:

  • Marathon (full, two laps for marathon)
  • Half Marathon
  • 10 km
  • 5 km
  • 1 km Kids Race (maximum age 10, not timed; parents may run alongside)

The course runs largely along the Bay Trail with some asphalt paths and passes through foreshore camping areas, with Port Phillip Bay as a backdrop. The route is marked with orange flags, cones, fences with arrows and directional signage. Timing mats are placed at turnaround points to confirm completion of the entered distance. Taps and toilets are available along the route and portable toilets and public toilet blocks are located at the event site.

Event services include St John First Aid at the finish and roaming bike crews, drink stations (water and sports drink) approximately every 3–4 km for the half marathon, two drink stations for the 10 km and none for the 5 km, clothing bag drop, and bike parking. No dogs, bikes, scooters or rollerblades are permitted on the course. Event capacity is limited to 1000 competitors across all events; the marathon has a maximum of 150 entries. Every finisher receives a medal; prizes are awarded to first, second and third place male and female in age categories. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
