Course Overview
The event takes place on the Mornington Peninsula. The course primarily uses the Bay Trail and some asphalt paths, running through the foreshore camping area. It is described as a flat and fast route. The start and finish for all distances is at Rosebud Skate Park.
The marathon and half marathon courses extend past Rosebud towards Capel Sound, with a turnaround near Rye Pier. The 5 km and 10 km routes head towards McCrae and return to Rosebud.
Distances
The festival offers several distances:
- Marathon (42.2 km)
- Half Marathon (21.1 km)
- 10 km fun run/walk
- 5 km fun run/walk
- 1 km kids dash
Event Information
Water and sports drink stations are provided on course, approximately every 3-4 km for the half marathon and marathon. The 10 km has two drink stations, while the 5 km has none. Public taps are also available along the route. Portable and public toilets are located at the event site and along the course.
A clothing bag drop area is provided at the event site. Bike parking is also available. First aid services are present at the finish line and on the course.
Every finisher receives a medal. Awards are given to the first, second, and third place finishers (male and female) in various age categories for all distances except the kids dash.
The maximum number of competitors across all events is 1000. Age restrictions apply: marathon participants must be 16 or older, the half marathon 14 or older, and the 10 km event 8 or older. There is no minimum age for the 5 km. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
