The Rose Canyon Ultra includes three race options:

  • 30 kilometers

Location

All races start and finish at Butterfield Trailhead Regional Park.

Course

The course uses trails in the Rose, Butterfield, and Yellow Fork Canyon areas. It features rugged ridges, smooth single-track paths, meadows, and dense foliage. The route is marked with pink flags, ribbons, signs, and trail marshals.

Amenities

Participants receive a high-quality race shirt and a custom locally made finisher medal. Post-race amenities include breakfast items from Great Harvest Bread and pizza from Big Daddy's Pizza. Aid stations provide Tailwind electrolyte drink, water, Honey Stinger gels and waffles, fruit, soft drinks, and snacks. Free digital photos are available through Xotio Media.

Logistics

Packet pickup is offered on Friday at the Salt Lake Running Store in Sandy, with race day pickup available. Parking is free and ample. Cutoff times are enforced: 20 minutes per mile for 50 miles, 21 minutes 30 seconds per mile for 50k, and 30 minutes per mile for 30k. Pacers are allowed for the 50-mile distance, and drop bags are permitted at designated aid stations.
