Course and logistics

The courses use trails in the Rose, Butterfield, and Yellow Fork Canyon areas and combine dirt single track, fire road, and dirt road surfaces (percentages vary by distance). Navigation markers include pink flags, ribbons, signs, and trail marshals; only turns and trail changes are flagged. Terrain descriptions and loop segments are provided for each distance, and detailed course maps note crew, pacer, and drop bag locations.

Aid stations provide electrolyte drink options, water, Honey Stinger products, fruit, soda, and assorted packaged snacks. Pacers are allowed only for the 50 mile at specified aid stations. One drop bag location is available for all distances at Yellow Fork; an additional drop bag location is available for 50 mile runners at Butterfield Peak. Free parking is provided on native grass event parking areas. Cutoff paces are specified for each distance for safety and permitting.
