Courses and logistics

  • 108K - ~17,600' elevation, 9 aid stations, large single-loop.
  • 55K - ~8,800' elevation, 5 aid stations, lollipop-type loop.
  • 32K - ~4,500' elevation, 2 aid stations, point-to-point to City Park.

The 55K and 108K start and finish at Challis City Park. The 32K starts at the ghost town of Bayhorse and finishes at the City Park; shuttles run to the 32K start. The 108K route includes five significant climbs cresting around 8,000', 9,000', and 10,000' and is mostly two-track with sections of dirt road, single track, and pavement approaching Challis. The 55K route uses narrow ATV trail, dirt road, elk trails, and includes a 3.5 mile descent to Bayhorse and a return via the Lombard Trail. The final mile of all races runs down Main Street Challis into the City Park finish.
