Resurrection Pass Ultras

The Resurrection Pass Ultras are two trail ultramarathons held on the Resurrection Pass Trail in Alaska. The events cover long distances between the communities of Hope and Cooper Landing and are primarily self supported trail runs.

The event offers the following distances:

  • 100 mile race between Hope and Cooper Landing
  • 50 mile race between Hope and Cooper Landing

Resurrection Pass Trail was a route used by early gold miners to access mining claims along Turnagain Arm. The trail is designated as a National Recreation Trail and is maintained by the US Forest Service.

Event logistics and recent notes include the 2026 edition scheduled for July 24 and 25. Registration opens on UltraSignup on April 1. Results are available for previous years, including 2025. The 98th Mount Marathon in Seward, Alaska on July 4, 2026 features uphill-and-back races with multiple distances and entry categories, including junior, open, non-binary, and golden over-70 events.

A memorial 5K in Seward, Alaska honoring Dan Seavey, organized by the Iditarod Trail Blazers and Seward Sports and Recreation. Four race categories, dogs allowed on leash, and a post race celebration at the Branson Pavilion.
