Reesor 50 : event description
Reesor 50 is held at Historic Reesor Ranch in Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park, Sask. The course passes through rolling grasslands, dense forest and dramatic coulees shaped by generations of ranching and Indigenous peoples.
The race distance is 81 kilometres with a total vertical ascent/descent of 2300 metres. Terrain is approximately 75% trail and 25% dirt road. There are six aid stations plus a finish-line station. Prize money is offered for top finishers: 1st 2177 $, 2nd 777 $, 3rd 646 $.
Registration includes a Friday night lasagna meal, a beverage, a finisher's token and event swag. The Saturday dinner included for Reesor 50 entrants is an 8 oz New York strip steak with baked potato and salad, with a vegetarian stuffed bell pepper option. Additional meals are available for purchase over the weekend.
On-site lodging options include ranch accommodations (booked on a first-come first-served basis) and festival-style camping in a designated field at 40 $ per vehicle for the weekend; the camping option must be added to registration by May 1, 2026. The event is capped at 400 runners.
The refund policy provides a full refund until February 1, 2026, a 50% refund of the race fee only until April 1, 2026 (meals and camping non-refundable), and no refunds after April 1 at 12:00 pm.
