Reesor 50

The Reesor 50 takes place in Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park, Saskatchewan. The event is hosted at the Historic Reesor Ranch, one of the province’s oldest working ranches. The course traverses a landscape shaped by rolling grasslands, dense forests, deep coulees, and towering conglomerate cliffs.

Participants can select from three distinct distances:

  • 81 km: Features 75% trail and 25% dirt road with 2,300 meters of vertical ascent.
  • 42 km: Features 70% trail and 30% dirt road with 1,250 meters of vertical ascent.
  • 10 km: A Friday night trail run held entirely on the ranch property.

The 81 km event includes over six aid stations, while the marathon distance provides three. The 10 km run features an aid station at the finish line only. Cash prizes are awarded to the first, second, and third-place finishers for the marathon and ultra-marathon distances.

Race entry includes a meal, beverage, swag, and a finisher’s token. The event is capped at 400 runners. Accommodation options at the ranch include lodging or festival-style vehicle and tent camping in a designated field with access to washrooms and showers. Various meal plans, including breakfasts and dinners, are available to participants throughout the race weekend. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
