27th Annual Rattlesnake Master Run for the Prairie
The Rattlesnake Master Run for the Prairie is an annual event held in Urbana, Illinois. The race supports Grand Prairie Friends, a non-profit land trust and conservation group dedicated to preserving native habitat in central Illinois. The course circles the 130-acre Meadowbrook Park and its surrounding prairie, incorporating sections of trail running.

The in-person routes provide views of the local prairie landscape. For those choosing the virtual options, participants can complete their selected distance at any location and report their times through the registration platform by November 2. Virtual results are documented but are not eligible for event medals.
Registration is open to participants of all ages. For those wanting a commemorative t-shirt, registration must be completed by October 19. Packet pickup is available on the Saturday preceding the race at a local sports shop in Savoy or on the morning of the event at the Garden Pavilion in Meadowbrook Park. The event operates under a rain or shine policy and does not offer refunds.
