Rainbow Trail Run - Alliston

The Rainbow Trail Run is a trail running event held at Earl Rowe Provincial Park in Alliston, Ontario. This is the 5th annual edition of the event. The runs consist of loops of approximately 12 km around the park.

Available distances:

  • 6 km (half loop) - start at 10:00 AM
  • 12 km (one loop) - start at 9:00 AM
  • 24 km (two loops) - start at 9:00 AM
  • 50 km (four loops) - start at 8:00 AM
  • 62 km (five loops) - start at 8:00 AM
  • 12 km virtual run

The course is mostly double-wide, with sections of grass, dirt, rocks, and roots, plus very short paved sections when crossing park roads. It includes bridge crossings over Earl Rowe Lake. The terrain is relatively flat, featuring one short climb to a lookout point.

The event is cup-free. Each runner receives a reusable SpeedCup from a partner sponsor. Aid stations are provided on the course. A BBQ with meat and non-meat options is available for finishers.

Finishers receive a custom spinner medal. Awards are given to the top three male and female solo finishers in each distance. Registration includes entry into the park for one vehicle.
