Rainbow Trail Run 2026

The Rainbow Trail Run takes place at Earl Rowe Provincial Park, Concession Road 7, Alliston, Ontario. The event is based on an approximate 12 km loop around the park and offers multiple distance options determined by the number of loops. The course is mostly double wide with sections of grass, dirt, some rocks and roots, a small amount of pavement at park road crossings, and bridge crossings over Earl Rowe Lake. The profile is relatively flat with one short climb to the Lookout.

Distances offered:

  • 6K half loop
  • 12K one loop
  • 24K two loops
  • 50K four loops (about 2 km added on first loop)
  • 62K five loops (about 2 km added on first loop)
  • 12K virtual run for Canadian participants

There are two aid stations on course: one at the Start/Finish and one approximately halfway through the 12K loop. The 6K has a self-serve water station at 3K. Aid stations provide water, electrolytes, fruit, and sweet and salty snacks. This is a cup-free event; each runner receives a SpeedCup at race kit pickup. A drop bag area will be provided near the loop exit under a 10 x 10 tent; runners may bring a personal shelter no larger than 10' x 10'. Registration includes park entry for one vehicle; additional vehicles are charged separately. The overall cutoff for the event is 18:00. Chip Time Results provides timing. The event supports Procyon Wildlife; funds raised so far total CA$325.69 toward a CA$1,000.00 goal. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
