Event

Race the Base is a trail run held at Pinnacle Mountain State Park in Roland, AR on October 25, 2025. The main event is a 4-mile loop on the Base Trail that begins on gravel, moves to paved trails, and finishes with about 2.75 miles of technical single track. The course includes a steep forest road climb of roughly 200 feet in 1/3 mile, which is contested for King and Queen of the Mountain awards. The day also includes a free kids event on the paved Kingfisher Trail.

Logistics and awards

Race day parking and the starting area are at Stuckey Field at Barrett Rd and HWY 300, opposite the Pinnacle Mountain State Park entrance at 9600 AR-300, Roland, AR 72135. The race is capped at 250 runners. Online registration is $35 before October 24, 2025; onsite registration is $40 if space remains. Registration includes a commemorative technical t-shirt and post-race refreshments. Pre-race packet pickup is scheduled for Friday, October 24 at Fleet Feet, 11525 Cantrell Rd, Little Rock. Awards are three deep overall and by age group (under 19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+), with additional prizes for top finishers on the climb.
