Basingstoke Pretty Muddy 5k

The event takes place on Sunday 24 May 2026 at War Memorial Park, Hackwood Road, Basingstoke RG21 4AH. It is a 5 km obstacle course where participants climb, crawl and slide over a course that starts and finishes on grass.

The course is mostly flat with mixed terrain of paths and grass. In wet weather sections can become boggy and wet. The meeting point is the field behind Crossborough car park near the play park. Participants must be at least 13 years old to take part.

There is no parking at the venue. Nearby car parks include Southern Road, Castons and Joices Yard with short walks to the start; Crossborough car park is for blue badge holders only and blue badge parking is available in Crossborough Hill Carpark. Bus services stop nearby and Basingstoke train station is a walk away. There are no on-site bike racks or electric vehicle charging points.

Facilities listed as available include refreshments and toilets. Dogs are not allowed. Bag drop and showers are not available, and the event is not suitable for wheelchair users or pushchairs. The event asks participants to meet in their wave and follow course marshals for safety.

A minimum fundraising target of £50 applies. Entry prices shown are £22.49 for adults and £12.00 for children.
