Basingstoke Pretty Muddy 5k

The event is a Pretty Muddy 5k obstacle course at War Memorial Park in Basingstoke on Sunday 24 May 2026. Entry fees listed are £22.49 for adults and £12.00 for children, with a minimum fundraising target of £50.00. Participants must be 13 years of age or older.

The course starts and finishes on grass and is mostly flat with a mix of paths and grass. The terrain can become boggy and wet in wet weather. The format includes staggered wave starts every 15 minutes to manage safety on the course. Obstacles require climbing, crawling and sliding; marshals are available to assist and participants may skip obstacles if needed.

The meeting point is the field behind Crossborough car park near the play park. There is no event parking at the venue itself; nearby public car parks include Southern Road, Castons Car park, Castons Yard and Joices Yard with walks of about three to eight minutes. Crossborough car park is reserved for blue badge holders and blue badge parking is available in Crossborough Hill Carpark. Drop off points are accessible via Crossborough Hill, Hackwood Road and London Road.

Refreshments and toilets are available on site. Dogs are not allowed, and facilities such as bag drop and showers are not provided. The event is not suitable for wheelchair users and pushchairs are not recommended. Sunflower wristbands are available at enquiries and stage content will include a QR code for British Sign Language. Participants with pre existing medical conditions are advised to seek medical advice beforehand.
