Basingstoke Pretty Muddy 5k

Basingstoke Pretty Muddy is a 5 km obstacle event held at War Memorial Park, Hackwood Road, Basingstoke, on 23 May 2027. The event uses a course with the start and finish on grass and mixed terrain of paths and grass. The ground may become boggy and wet in wet weather. Participants will climb, crawl and slide around the obstacle course.

Entry prices listed include Earlybird Adult £11.24 and Earlybird Children £6.00. A minimum fundraising target of £50.00 applies. Events run in staggered wave starts, with each wave beginning every 15 minutes. Participants must be 13 years of age or older to take part; a separate Pretty Muddy Kids programme exists for children aged 12 and under.

On-site facilities include refreshments and toilets. There is no on-site parking; several local car parks are a short walk away and blue badge parking is available near the event site. Drop-offs are possible via Crossborough Hill, Hackwood Road and London Road. Bus services stop within a short walk and the train station is approximately a 30 minute walk. There are no electric vehicle charging points, no bike racks and the event is not wheelchair accessible.

Trail runs nearby

A timed, lap format run along The Itchen Way in Winchester with a professionally measured, permitted course. Runners may complete multiple 2.62 mile laps up to ultra distance and receive a bespoke finisher's medal and aid station provisions..

The Blended Trails - Backyard Ultra will take place in New Alresford on Saturday 25 July 2026. You can run 7 kilometers.

Trail routes of 12K, 25K and 50K from Queen Elizabeth Country Park across sections of the South Downs Way with waymarking, aid stations and an event village.

A circular half marathon trail run on the Ridgeway that visits Ashdown House and the original White Horse Hill. The route is described as undulating and the event is held under UK Athletics rules with a Trail Running Association permit.
