Quarry Turkey is a family-oriented turkey trot held on the trails of Quarry Lakes Regional Park on November 28, 2026. The event offers trail-based distances, a short children’s sprint, and amenities such as free photos and published results.
Distances
- Half Marathon - mostly-flat course on Quarry Lakes trails
- 10K on the park trails
- 5K on the park trails
- Little Turkeys Race - about 100 yards, free for children brought with race participants
The Little Turkeys Race is provided at no cost for children accompanying registered participants. Thanksgiving-themed costumes for children and adults are encouraged. Walkers are welcome on the course.
The event supports the Alameda County Community Food Bank and asks participants to bring at least one canned good on race morning. Cash donations are accepted during registration and collection bins will be available on race day. Race organizers provide race information, course details, frequently asked questions, and volunteer opportunities. Finish times are posted as results and event photography is provided after the race.
