Course notes and inclusions: the half, 10K, and 5K run routes use Annabel Lake and portions of the Iron Horse Trail, crossing the Bollinger Canyon Bridge. The 5K is a route around Annabel Lake and back. The 10K follows the half marathon course to a turnaround on the Iron Horse Trail. The Beer Stroll is a one-mile, untimed walk that starts and ends with beer.
Participant items and rules: many entries include a Beer City race t-shirt, a tasting glass, and The Key to Beer City finisher medal. Some finishes include unlimited tasting served in a 7-ounce tasting cup. The Beat The Beast Beer Mile requires drinking four 12-ounce beers with a quarter mile run between each; it includes a special medal and pin and removes competitors who do not beat the Beer City Beast. The Top Dog Dash is a 0.5 mile fundraiser for Love & Second Chances and includes a morning beer tasting bracelet plus a two-drink Shindig pass.
