Quantock Hills Trail Half Marathon

The Quantock Hills Trail Half Marathon is a trail running event organised by Prosper Events around the Quantock Hills, based at Kilve Court, SSE Outdoors, Kilve, Bridgewater, Somerset TA5 1EA. The event is listed as a half marathon and appears on the UTMB index.

The course covers a variety of terrain including technical trails through forests, quiet country lanes and open moorland. Runners can expect climbs, rolling hills, stiles and gates, uneven rugged ground and stream crossings where stepping stones or log balances may be involved. The route is waymarked and supported by marshals.

Two fully stocked feed stations are provided on course. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers and all finishers receive a large commemorative medal. The organisers note cooperation with the Quantocks AONB service, Natural England and The National Trust in developing the route.

Over the event weekend there are options for on site camping, van parking and basic bunk houses. On the Saturday evening a local pizza vendor is scheduled to attend and there are nearby pubs; a communal fire pit may be used if weather permits. The event information includes an entry fee and availability details. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
