The 24th Potomac River Run Marathon and Half takes place at Fletcher's Cove, 4940 Canal Road NW, Washington, DC, on the C&O Canal Towpath. The event is organized by Marathon Charity Cooperation and is scheduled for May 1, 2027.

The course is an out and back that starts and finishes at Fletcher's Cove. The surface is reported as 99% crushed gravel with two short paved stretches to prevent erosion. The setting is tree lined and shaded with views of the Potomac River. The highest course point is 44 m above sea level and the lowest is 12 m above sea level. The route has no cross streets.
Packet pickup and timing notes include a pre race packet pickup on April 30 from 12:00 to 18:00 at Pacers Running Store, 3100 Clarendon Blvd, Arlington, and on site packet pickup on race day from 6:00 to 8:15 at Fletcher's Cove. Organizers request marathoners pick up earlier than half marathoners to reduce overcrowding.
Aid stations close as the last runner approaches; the last aid station at Lock 6 closes at 13:30. Monetary prizes are offered for the top three finishers and awards are given for age group winners. Entry fees are listed at USD 100 with a discounted USD 90 rate for members of supporting clubs or active duty military. Early registration offers discounts up to USD 50 compared with later prices.
