Porterville 10K Trail Run

Event Overview

The 3rd Annual Porterville 5K/10K Trail Run takes place in Porterville, California. Organized by the Porterville Military Academy athletic department, this community event utilizes a course that starts and finishes at the academy grounds. The terrain consists of a dirt path laid out in an out and back format.

Participants can choose from several physical and virtual distances:

• 10K Run/Walk
• 5K Run/Walk
• 440 Yards (Kids 1/4 Mile Run/Walk)
• Virtual 5K/10K

Participant Amenities and Awards

Individuals registered for the 5K and 10K distances receive a custom race t-shirt, a finisher medal, and a race bib. Professional chip timing is provided, and digital certificates are available after the event. Participants in the kids' 1/4 mile distance receive a custom t-shirt and a finisher medal.

The event recognizes performance across various age categories, ranging from 1-10 to 80+. Prizes are awarded to the top three male and top three female finishers in each specific age group. On-site benefits include free parking and music throughout the venue.

Logistics and Support

Packet pickup is held at the Porterville Military Academy front office on multiple days prior to the event, with a final pickup window available on the morning of the run. Virtual participants located outside the local area will have their materials mailed after the event. Proceeds from the event support local aviation education and scholarships through the local Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) Chapter 1547.
