Polar Rush - Albion Hills, Caledon

Polar Rush is a winter obstacle race held Saturday, February 27, 2027 at Albion Hills Conservation Area in Caledon. The course uses snowy, hilly terrain over about 5-6 km and features 14 obstacles, including wall climbs, crazy carpets, snow crawls, a Disc run and the Snowball Gauntlet introduced in 2026.

Registration includes park access (listed value $18), a Polar Rush buff for all participants and a custom metal finisher medal. A family discount of $20 is applied automatically for participants 18 and under; some registration tiers also include a toque. Example registration prices shown are $59, $64 and $69; HST and online fees apply.

On course there is a stocked aid station with hydration and candy. Finish-line provisions include free hot chocolate and one free craft beer per participant for those 19 and older. The event offers bonfires, a chalet, an unorganized bag drop area and a warming tent if conditions require. Start waves are open with varying sizes; spectators pay an Albion Hills park fee of about $7.50. Trail event at Earl Rowe Provincial Park offering loop distances from 6K to 62K, cup-free aid stations, drop bags and finisher swag; proceeds support Procyon Wildlife.

Utopia Backyard Ultra at the Tiffin Centre for Conservation uses a 4 miles 880 feet loop run every hour until only one finisher remains. Fixed 6, 12 and 24 hour options, camping and aid station snacks are provided. Registration is sold out.

Trail event on June 27, 2026 at Kelso Conservation offering 5K, 10K, MAX Elevation, 20K relay and kids options. The course uses roughly 3 km loops with notable elevation, aid stations and chip timing.
