The Pine Island Calusa Trail 5K Run and Walk takes place on Saturday, January 31, 2026 in Bokeelia, FL. The event includes the following race options:

This is a family- and pet-friendly walk/run. Event proceeds benefit the Kiwanis Club of Greater Pine Island and the children's programs at the Calusa Heritage Trail. Entry for 2026 will open shortly pending final approval from the race site committee.

Course, logistics and registration

The course includes approximately one mile on the Calusa Heritage Trail at the Randell Research Center. The trail surface is hard packed gravel and may have bumps or some mud depending on weather. The route also includes climbing steps to the top of the Randell mound and returns along quiet neighborhood streets. Parking and race staging are at Alden Pines Clubhouse, 14261 Clubhouse Drive, Bokeelia, FL 33922.

Race tech shirts are guaranteed for participants who register by January 1, 2026. Packet pick up is scheduled for Thursday, January 29 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Century 21 on Pine Island, 10191 Stringfellow Rd, St James City, FL; race day pick up begins at the event. Race day registration is available by cellular device and may depend on local signal strength.
