The Philadelphia Trail Marathon is scheduled for April 11, 2026, at Wissahickon Valley Park in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Distances

  • Marathon: 26.2 miles
  • Half Marathon: 13.1 miles

Location

Wissahickon Valley Park covers over 2000 acres and has more than 50 miles of trails. The park features natural scenery along with historic buildings and bridges.

Course

The route consists primarily of single track trail. It includes rolling hills and some technical sections with rocks and roots. For the half marathon, over 90% of the course is on single track.

Event Details

Bib and swag pickup is on race day only, starting at 6:30 AM at the start/finish area. There is no expo. Participants must finish by 4 PM, allowing an 8-hour time limit for the marathon. Aid stations are placed 3 to 4 miles apart, offering water, Gatorade, and trail food. Timing is manual using bibs and an app.

Post-Race

A post-race party includes live music and pizza. Awards are presented at the finish line. Every finisher receives a Philadelphia themed medal, with trophies for top overall and age group performers.

Looney Leprechaun Trail Races takes place March 7, 2026 at Tyler State Park in Newtown, PA. The event offers a 10K trail race and a 1/2 Marathon on park trails, with member discounts, age group awards and event shirts for early registrants.
