The Philadelphia Trail Marathon takes place in Wissahickon Valley Park in Philadelphia, PA. The event offers two distances:

Course and competition

The half and full courses are more than 90% single-track trail within Wissahickon Valley Park. The routes include many rolling hills and some technical sections with rocks and roots. Aid stations are spaced roughly every 3 to 4 miles and will offer water and Gatorade; participants are advised to carry a bottle and bring personal gels if they rely on them.

Trophies are awarded to the top 3 overall finishers. Age-group trophies are awarded as follows: top 5 for age groups 29 & under, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59; top 3 for 60 and over. Every finisher receives a Philadelphia-themed finisher medal.

Logistics

Bib and swag pickup is on race day only; there will be no expo. Timing is manual using the ultrasignup timing app; bibs should be worn on the front and visible for timing. There is an 8-hour race time limit. The event supports educational programs for children at the Houston Playground Recreational Center.
