Event Details
The Philadelphia Trail Marathon takes place on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Wissahickon Valley Park in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The event offers a marathon (26.2 miles) and a half marathon (13.1 miles).
The Location
Wissahickon Valley Park covers over 2,000 acres and features more than 50 miles of trails. The course is set within this park, known for its natural beauty and historic structures. The half marathon course is reported to be over 90% single-track trail with rolling hills and some technical sections featuring rocks and roots. The start and finish area is near Houston Playground at approximately 900 Grakyn Ln.
Race Information
Bib and swag pickup is on race day only, starting at 6:30 AM at the start/finish area. The event uses manual bib timing. An 8-hour time limit is in place, with all runners needing to finish by 4:00 PM.
Aid stations offering Gatorade, water, and typical trail fare are spaced approximately 3 to 4 miles apart. Runners are advised that carrying a bottle between stations is common.
Post-Race and Awards
Every finisher receives a Philadelphia-themed medal. Trophies are awarded to the top 3 overall finishers and the top finishers in several age groups. After the race, there will be live music and a pizza party at the finish area.
Registration and Policies
Registration closes on Monday, April 6. Refunds are available up to 30 days before race day, minus a $10 processing fee. No refunds or deferrals are permitted within 30 days of the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
