Philadelphia Trail Marathon at Wissahickon Valley Park
The Philadelphia Trail Marathon is a trail running event held in Wissahickon Valley Park in Philadelphia on April 11, 2026. The park spans more than 2,000 acres and contains an extensive trail network and historic landscape that the course uses for its routed loops.
The course is primarily single-track trail with some gravel sections and includes technical rocky and root-strewn segments on the Yellow and White trails. Runners should expect many short, steep climbs. Elevation gain is about 1,300 feet per loop, for roughly 2,600 feet total for the full marathon.
Bib and swag pickup are held on race day only; there is no pre-race expo. Aid stations are positioned about every three to four miles and will offer water, Gatorade, and basic trail fare. Timing is manual using the ultrasignup timing app and bibs should be worn visible at the front for finish-line timing.
Every finisher receives a Philadelphia themed medal. Trophies are awarded to the top three overall finishers and to top finishers in age groups: 29 and under, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 plus. The event supports educational programs for children at the Houston Playground Recreational Center.
Headquarters and race-day pickup are at Houston Playground / Houston Recreational Center, 900 Grakyn Lane, Philadelphia, PA. Distances: Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
