Philadelphia Trail Marathon

Scheduled for April 11, 2026 in Philadelphia, PA, this event is held in Wissahickon Valley Park, a more than 2,000-acre park with over 50 miles of trails and a variety of historic features. The race returns to a popular local trail network and benefits educational programs at the Houston Playground Recreational Center.

The half marathon course is more than 90 percent single-track trail. Courses include many rolling hills and some technical sections with rocks and roots. Aid stations are spaced roughly every 3 to 4 miles and will offer water and Gatorade; runners are encouraged to carry a bottle and to bring personal gels if they rely on them.

Bibs and race swag are available on race day only; there is no expo. Manual bib timing is used with a timing app; bibs should be worn front-visible for finish-line timing. The marathon has an eight hour time limit.

Entry fees are tiered; the half marathon fees range from about $69 to $85 and the marathon fees range from about $79 to $95 depending on registration period. Refunds are available up to 30 days before race day for the entry fee minus $10; no refunds or deferrals within 30 days. The organizer reserves the right to cancel or postpone the race for weather or other causes outside its control.

Post-race awards include a Philadelphia themed finisher medal for every finisher, trophies for overall and age-group placings, live music and a pizza party. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
