Monster Dash 5K at The Bates Motel
Monster Dash takes place at The Bates Motel and Arasapha Farms in Glen Mills, Pennsylvania on October 31, 2026. The event benefits Edgmont Township Fire Company No.1. It is not a USATF-certified course and will run rain or shine.
Race distances:
- 5K multi-surface cross country through Arasapha Farms and Haunted Hayride
- 1 Mile multi-surface course through the Haunted Hayride path and top of property
The 5K is a multi-surface cross country course that passes through Arasapha Farms and the Bates Motel Haunted Hayride. Registration includes a chipped bib for timing and a commemorative t-shirt. Overall awards will be given to the top 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place male and female; divisional medals will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place male and female. The organizers will use the same course as the previous two years.
The 1 Mile is primarily on the Haunted Hayride path and will loop the top of the property; it will not go through the back Christmas tree farm. This distance is untimed, includes a commemorative t-shirt, and is open to families and walkers.
Costume and safety rules apply: no masks, no carried weapons, closed-toed shoes required, spiked shoes permitted, and costume length should not impede safe running. A monster costume contest will award two individuals, one themed group, and two youth (under 12). Packet pick up is scheduled the day before at Edgmont Fire Company and also available on race morning. Registration opens July 25, 2026 and closes October 1, 2026; the registration fee is $30.00.
