Perpetua Coast is a two-day trail running event in Yachats, Oregon (pronounced YAH-hots) and the Cape Perpetua National Scenic Area. The event is based in Yachats, with The Adobe Resort listed as a venue reference.
Race weekend includes loop-format courses on Saturday and point-to-point courses on Sunday. Distances offered include:
- 50K
- 20 Miler
- Half Marathon
- 10K
Each course passes through a variety of Oregon Coast environments. Described terrain and scenery include beach town areas, rocky shoreline bluffs, sandy beaches, headland vistas and moss-draped old growth rainforest. Routes aim to showcase both shoreline and forest sections common to the Cape Perpetua area.
The event is presented by Daybreak Racing. From 2014 to 2021 the races were hosted under the name Oregon Coast trail runs by Rainshadow Running; Daybreak Racing continues the event under the Perpetua Coast name. Daybreak Racing organizes other Pacific Northwest trail races, including Tillamook Burn, Gorge Waterfalls and Wy'east Trailfest.
