Siuslaw Dunes Trail Runs

The Siuslaw Dunes races take place on March 7, 2026, at Honeyman State Park near Florence, Oregon. The event is staged at the East Woahink Day Use Gazebo, about 3 miles south of old town Florence, and runs within the Siuslaw National Forest and Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area. The event beneficiary is Siuslaw High School’s Cross Country and Track & Field programs. The event operates under permits from the U.S. Forest Service and Oregon State Parks.

Courses

  • 50K (31.0 miles) : point-to-point across dunes, forests and beaches; ~2,100' ascent.
  • 20 Miler : point-to-point on dunes, beaches and single track; ~1,400' ascent.
  • 12K : point-to-point beginning at a forested campground, across dunes and trails.

Logistics

All runners must ride shuttle buses from the finish area to their race start; no drop-offs are allowed at start areas. Parking is available at the East Woahink Day Use Area. Camping is available at Honeyman State Park. The registration period opens on September 1 and closes March 1. Registration fees cover a marked course, parking, chip timing and live results, aid stations, medical support, radio communications, a post-race meal and beverages, a custom finisher award and event photography. Event photography will be provided by James Holk Photography. Dogs are not allowed to start with runners but may join on leash from aid stations or be present at the finish area.
