Cape Mountain Trail Runs
The Cape Mountain Trail Runs take place June 5, 2027 on Cape Mountain, a headland rising above the Pacific Ocean in the Siuslaw National Forest near Florence, Oregon. The event offers loop courses on extensive singletrack that pass through moss-draped old growth rainforest, creek canyons, and coastal headland meadows with summit and meadow views.
Distances:
- 50K loop course
- 25K loop course
- 10K loop course
The race is staged at Horse Creek Campground, about 15 miles north of Florence. Race-day parking is free but limited; no RVs or trailers are allowed and campground sites are reserved for day use only. The staging area does not permit overnight camping the night before the event.
Registration opens December 14. Entry fees are tiered by registration window and include a fully marked course, staging venue, parking, timing and results, full service aid stations, medical support and communications, post race food and beverages, custom finisher awards, and professional photography. Race shirts and hats are sold separately.
The 10K race participates in a youth initiative with discounted youth registration and a limited number of free youth entries. The event benefits Siuslaw High School cross country and track and field programs. Leashed dogs are allowed at the staging area and on the 10K and 25K courses but are not permitted on the 50K.
