Ranger Ultras Peak District South & North is a two-day trail running event in the Peak District, held on 22 and 23 November 2025. The routes start and finish in Edale and run through the White Peak on Day 1 and the Dark Peak on Day 2. The event has an age minimum of 20 years and shows entries open from 12 November 2023 to 14 November 2025. Entry totals and fees are published for single stages and the full event.

Registration and pre-race kit checks take place at The Peak Centre, Edale. Race support includes a Ranger Safety Team located at the event HQ, road head and hill top points. Navigation notes and a GPX file are provided to entered participants.

  • 43 km Dark Peak Challenge - total ascent 1192 m
  • 93 km Full Peak District South & North - two-day combined route

Included for participants: on-course snacks, fruit, soft drinks and soup; HQ tea, coffee and meals; finishers medals; trophies for first male and female in each stage and for the full event. Low-cost bunkhouse and camp bed accommodation options at The Peak Centre are offered with limited places and separate fees. There is no participant parking at The Peak Centre; public parking is available in Edale village within a short walk. A compulsory minimum kit list is published in the race brief. Run festive trails through Sherwood Pines on 14 December 2025 with a family mile plus 5 km and 10 km options open to dogs. Finishers get chip timing, medals and mince pies and there is a Merrell shoe demo.

BigXmas Trail Festival at Sale Water Park offers 11 km, half marathon and marathon trail routes along the River Mersey. Chip timed, the festive finish features mince pies, mulled wine and the choice of a medal or a tree planted.

Join the PieAthlon 6 km trail run around Longwood with three pie tasting stations and a fun fancy dress vibe. Medals for all and prizes for top finishers make this community event part race part party.

Join the Cragg Vale Christmas Score Event on 20 December 2025 at Cragg Vale Church for a fun 90 minute orienteering challenge. Visit controls to collect points, enjoy a bacon or vegan bap, and support Cragg Church refurbishments.
