Passion Play Trail Run
The third annual Passion Play Trail Run takes place in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, on the grounds of The Great Passion Play. The event utilizes the local trail system, which is part of the Oz Trail System of Northwest Arkansas. Participants travel through scenic areas including the Christ of the Ozarks Statue and portions of The Holy Land Tour.
The event offers four different distances:
- 1 Mile Fun Run: An all-road course looping around the grounds and visiting the statue.
- 5K Trail Run: A revised trail route situated primarily on the hilltop near the amphitheater and tabernacle.
- 5 Mile Trail Run: A trail route containing the Genesis, Holy Roller, Passover, and Revelation sections.
- 13.1 Miles (Half Marathon): A multi-lap route combining the 5 Mile and 5K courses.
Infrastructure at the event includes aid stations on each course and a finish line area providing snacks and refreshments. All finishers receive a cast metal medal, and participants who register by the specified March deadline receive an event t-shirt. The registration fee also includes a ticket to a performance of The Great Passion Play, valid during the 2026 or 2027 seasons.
