Palos Verdes Trails 5K
The Palos Verdes Trails 5K takes place at Ernie Howlett Park, 25851 Hawthorne Boulevard, Palos Verdes Peninsula, CA 90274. The course follows well groomed horse trails through areas of eucalyptus shade and gently rolling hills. The surface and setting are described as natural trails rather than paved roads.
The event is offered as an in person 5K and as a virtual 5K. A fundraising entry option is available that carries no registration fee if the participant raises at least $100 for Strides in Recovery. Strides in Recovery is a local nonprofit that supports people in Los Angeles County addiction treatment programs by promoting running and walking as part of early recovery and beyond.
Standard and virtual registrations list a fee of $45. Registration windows include openings on January 24, 2026 with standard and virtual registration closing on September 7, 2026. The fundraising registration route has an earlier close of June 15, 2026.
Virtual participants may choose their own course and time to run or walk and may complete the virtual event prior to the in person 5K. Medals and shirts for virtual entries are mailed shortly after the in person event. Dogs and strollers are not permitted on the course per City of Rolling Hills Estates regulations.
