Palos Verdes Trails 5K
The Palos Verdes Trails 5K is held at Ernie Howlett Park, 25851 Hawthorne Boulevard, Palos Verdes Peninsula, CA 90274. The event is offered as an in-person 5K run/jog, a fundraising entry option, and a virtual 5K.
The course follows well-groomed horse trails shaded by eucalyptus trees and crosses gently rolling hills. Dogs and strollers are not permitted on the course per City of Rolling Hills Estates regulations.
Standard and virtual registration open January 24, 2026 and close September 7, 2026; the standard registration fee is $45. A fundraising entry option also opens January 24, 2026 and remains open through September 21, 2026; participants who raise at least $100 receive free registration. Funds raised support Strides in Recovery, a local nonprofit that works with people in Los Angeles County addiction treatment programs to incorporate running and walking into early recovery and beyond.
The virtual 5K allows participants to choose their own course and time and to complete the distance any time prior to the in-person event. Medals and shirts for virtual participants are sent shortly after the in-person 5K. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
