OUTLAST San Antonio : 6-hour trail challenge
OUTLAST San Antonio takes place on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Land Heritage Institute, 1349 Neal Rd, San Antonio, TX 78264. The event is a six-hour trail endurance challenge in which participants complete a 5K loop every hour. Each lap must be finished within the hour to remain in the event; missing a lap eliminates the runner. Participants who finish early may rest until the next round.
Course, services and awards
The course is trail-based and includes natural terrain such as dirt, rocks, roots, and elevation; some sections may include pavement or gravel. Aid is provided at the basecamp/loop start with water, basic hydration, and snacks. This is a cupless event, so participants are asked to bring their own bottle or hydration system. Tent or personal aid-station setups are allowed.
Awards and recognition are given by laps completed and combined time. Finishers earn patches or a medal: four laps earn a bronze leather patch, five laps a silver leather patch, and six laps a premium wooden OUTLAST medal. All participants receive an OUTLAST T-shirt and sticker. Each 5K is timed individually, and combined times determine local winners and ranking on a national leaderboard.
