The Old Zoo Half Marathon takes place in Los Angeles, CA, with the start and finish at the Old Los Angeles Zoo area (4801 Griffith Park Dr). The event includes a half marathon and a 12K course. Both courses are described as relatively flat and use scenic trails. Last year’s registration sold out and space is limited.

Entry, packet pickup, and race amenities
Age minimums are 13 for the half marathon and 11 for the 12K. Pricing examples: Half Marathon entry starts at $60 before January 15 and increases through tiers up to $110 by race morning; 12K entry starts at $49 before January 15 and increases up to $79 by race morning. Packet pickup is available at Run With Us - Pasadena (235 N. Lake Avenue) on June 13 from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm, and on race morning beginning at 6:30 am. Included items and services listed by the organizer: commemorative collapsible soft flask for the first 300 registrants, custom finisher medal (elephant design for this year), official race T-shirt while supplies last, custom bib, free downloadable finisher certificate, chip timing, music, finish-line water and snacks, and on-site sports massage provided by a partner.
Overall, age-group and overall awards are planned for both events, with specified gift card prizes for top finishers and team awards. Winners must be present at the awards ceremony; awards will not be mailed. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
