Old West Trail Runs : Old West 50K, Marathon and Half Marathon

Old West Trail Runs offers three trail distances through Anza Borrego Desert State Park terrain on March 13, 2027. The event begins at Stagecoach Trails RV Resort and Campground and follows marked routes that include sandy jeep roads, singletrack on the California Riding and Hiking trail, and desert trail segments.

Distances available:

• 50K approximately 31.1 miles
• Marathon approximately 26.2 miles
• Half Marathon approximately 13.1 miles

The 50K and marathon courses record about 2,555 feet of total elevation gain and loss. The half marathon course totals about 670 feet of elevation gain and loss. Three full aid stations at Stagecoach Saddle, Blair Valley, and Pinyon Canyon provide water, sport drinks, soda, ice, electrolyte capsules and a variety of snacks including gels, sandwiches, fruit and cookies. If a participant needs to quit, they must notify the aid station captain at one of the major aid stations listed above.

Onsite facilities at the resort include over 200 campsites with full hookups, cabins and rooms, multiple restrooms and hot showers, picnic tables, fire rings and free Wi Fi. Dogs are allowed in camp but are not permitted on state park trails. Trails are maintained by volunteer groups including Trailfit and the event holds a permit from Anza Borrego Desert State Park.
