Northants 5K Series Race 1 at Fineshade Wood

Race 1 of the Northants 5K Series takes place at Fineshade Wood, a new venue for 2026 located between Corby and Stamford. The event uses multi terrain through parks and woodlands and covers a distance of 5 km. The event date is 26 April 2026 and entries open on 16 February.

All finishers receive a bespoke 5K race medal, with a different design at each race in the series. Runners who cannot attend in person may complete the race virtually and have the medal posted, provided they are signed up to the race.

Practical information includes collection of race packs and numbers on race day from the red Nsport Gazebo, and route maps which will be uploaded to the Northamptonshire Sport event hub before the event. Minimum age is 11 years; 11 and 12 year olds are required to be accompanied around the course by an adult entrant.

Fineshade Wood operates ANPR and is cashless for parking; payments are by card or device and members with an annual pass park for free. Typical parking costs are up to 1 hour £3.80 and up to 2 hours £6.50. A mobile medical crew will be on standby, toilet facilities are available in the historic courtyard, and the Grounds Coffee Shop will be open before and after the event.
