Event Overview

The North West Trail Running Series - Yolla is the first race in the series, held on Sunday, 19th July, 2026. The event takes place on the Wynyard Course in Yolla.

Course Distances

Participants can choose from three distances:

  • Short Course: 5 km with 90m elevation gain.
  • Medium Course: 12 km with 380m elevation gain.
  • Long Course: 18.5 km with 623m elevation gain.

Entry Fees

Individual race entry fees are $40 for the Short Course, $50 for the Medium Course, and $60 for the Long Course. On the day entries incur a $10 additional charge. A Triple Crown option allows entry to all three series events at a 15% discount, and finishers receive a special medal.

Age Requirements

Age restrictions apply: for the Short Course, anyone under 13 must be accompanied by an adult; the Medium Course has a minimum age of 13; and the Long Course requires participants to be at least 16 years old.

Aid and Support

This is a self-supported event with no on-course assistance. Free electrolytes are provided at the Start/Finish line by Trail Brew.

Mandatory Gear

For safety, mandatory gear is required: the Medium Course needs a compression bandage, mobile phone, and minimum 500ml water; the Long Course adds an emergency space blanket and pea-less whistle, with minimum 1L water. The Short Course has no mandatory gear.

Cut-off Times

Cut-off times are set: 1 hour for the Short Course, 2 hours 30 minutes for the Medium Course, and 4 hours for the Long Course.
