North West Trail Running Series - Railton

Railton, Australia • 9 Aug 2026

Race 2: Railton - North West Trail Running Series

Race 2: Railton is part of the North West Trail Running Series and is listed as the Wynyard Course. The event is held on public mountain bike (MTB) trails and runs under a self-supported model with no on-course assistance. Free electrolytes are available at the start/finish area.

The event offers three marked courses with recorded elevation:

  • 4.6 km | 100 m
  • 12 km | 218 m
  • 18 km | 377 m

Age and supervision rules differ by course. The Short Course requires runners under 13 to be accompanied by an adult for the entire course. The Medium Course has a minimum age of 13 (calendar year). The Long Course has a minimum age of 16 (calendar year). Where a parent or guardian must accompany a junior, that adult must run with or directly behind the junior and take full responsibility.

Recommended minimum gear varies by course. The Short Course has no mandatory items listed. The Medium and Long Courses require a compression bandage and a mobile phone, with specified minimum water amounts. The Long Course also requires an emergency space blanket and a pea-less whistle. Participants are advised to prepare for Tasmanian winter conditions and to consider emergency apps.

Cut-off finisher times and average paces are provided for each course. Entry fees differ by distance and an additional fee applies for on-the-day entries. A Triple Crown entry option bundles all three events in the same category and includes a special Triple Crown Finishers Medal. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
