North Downs Way Ultra Run

The North Downs Way Ultra Run is a guided trail event starting and finishing at St Martha's in Guildford. The route covers 30 miles along parts of the North Downs Way and surrounding Surrey Hills, passing through small villages, Denbies Wine Estate and the top of Box Hill. The course also reaches Newland's Corner and returns to St Martha's church, offering open views across the downs.

The event is run as a group rather than a race and is led by an experienced ultra runner and coach who looks after navigation and route planning. Participants are advised to have completed at least 22 miles in training and to be able to sustain an average pace of about 10 min/mile | 6 min/km on trail. A full kit list will be provided before the run.

Practical details include a car park at the meeting location and proximity to a train station a short run or taxi ride away. The entry fee is £45 per person. At the finish, an alcohol-free beer from Athletic Brewing Company may be available, subject to availability. Further detailed information and final instructions are sent to participants a few days before the run. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
