Magna Carta Winter

Magna Carta Winter is based at Wraysbury Skiff & Punting Club on the Thames Path in Runnymede, Surrey, near the historic site associated with the Magna Carta. All races use riverbank trails and are described as flat and fast.

The event uses out and back lapped courses on a scenic section of the River Thames with fully marked and marshalled turnaround points. Well stocked check points are provided at the start and the Old Windsor Lock turnaround.

Distances offered:

  • Marathon: 26.35 miles via five 5.27-mile out and back sections.
  • Half Marathon: 13.14 miles including two 1.3-mile loops and two 5.27-mile sections.
  • 10 km: 10.09 km (6.27 miles) combining a 1.0-mile loop and a 5.27-mile section.

Awards and race support include bespoke Magna Carta medals, winners’ slate awards for first to third male and female in each event, professional chip timing with results issued after finish, race photographs for sale within 24 hours at £10 per photo, and professional medical first aid support throughout the course.
