North Downs Way Ultra Run
This guided trail run starts and finishes at St Martha's Hill, Guildford, Surrey, and follows parts of the North Downs Way and surrounding trails in the Surrey Hills. The route passes through small villages, Denbies Wine Estate and up to the top of Box Hill, then continues westbound along the North Downs Way to Newland's Corner and back to St Martha's church. The event is run as a group rather than a race and includes on-route guidance from an experienced ultra runner and coach.
Event details
Distance: 30 miles. Cost: £45 per person. Scheduled dates (no times listed): Sunday 28 September 2025; Saturday 10 January 2026; Saturday 10 October 2026. A car park is available at the meeting point, and the start is a short run or taxi ride from a train station. Participants are advised to have run at least 22 miles in training and to be able to hold an average trail pace of about 10 min/mile (6 min/km) for prolonged periods. A full kit list will be provided and further event information and instructions are sent to participants a few days before the run.
