New England Womxn's Trail Multisport Festival
The festival takes place at Pawtuckaway State Park in Nottingham, New Hampshire on September 26, 2026, with an inclement weather date the following day. It is open to people who identify as women, including cis, trans, non-binary, or any significantly female-identifying persons.
Event formats include an individual triathlon, two sport options, single sport choices, and a relay for two or three person teams. Distances for the main legs are:
- 0.4 mile swim
- 5.5 mile bike on park roads, double track and gravel
- 3 mile trail run
The swim is an out and back in the lake, supported by lifeguards and paddleboard volunteers; personal swim buoys are required. The bike course stays inside the park on mixed surfaces, includes technical sections with rocks, roots and bridge crossings, and requires a gravel, mountain, cyclocross, fat, or knobby-tire bike. Helmets are required and lights and bright clothing are strongly encouraged. The run uses park roads, double track and about 1.2 miles of single track; trail running shoes are strongly suggested.
Transition area is in the parking lot near the beach and competitors are responsible for their own gear. Registration includes one park entry per participant; spectators must pay park entry separately. The festival is untimed with no chip timing or awards based on placement. A three hour time window applies for course support; course aids will be removed after that period.
Participants receive post event snacks, manual therapy services from a sponsor, and entry into a sponsor raffle. Refund and transfer policies apply and partial refunds are available under specified conditions. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
