New England Womxn's Trail Multisport Festival

The festival takes place at Pawtuckaway State Park on 09/26/2026 with an inclement weather date of 09/27/2026. The event is presented by SHEcoast Multisport and is open to people who identify as women, including cis, trans, non-binary, or significantly female-identifying persons.

Multiple participation formats are offered: individual triathlon, two sport combinations, single sport entries, and relay teams. Distances for the event options are:

  • 0.4 mile swim
  • 5.5 mile trail bike on park roads and double track trail
  • 3 mile trail run

Course details: the swim is an out and back in Pawtuckaway Lake and is supported by lifeguards and volunteers on paddleboards. Personal swim buoys are required. The bike leg is entirely inside the park on a mix of park road and trail, includes technical sections with rocks and roots and several bridge crossings, and requires a bike with knobby tires (gravel, mountain, cyclocross, fat bike or similar). Helmets are required. One aid station is located in the transition area and another on the run/bike course. The run is an out and back that uses park roads, double track, and about 1.2 miles of single track; trail running shoes are suggested.

This is not a timed race format: there is no chip timing, no race numbers, and no placement awards. Participants are responsible for their own belongings in the transition area. Registration includes one park entry for the participant only. A partial refund policy and a nonrefundable period after 09/01/2026 apply.
