Navy Divers 50 K Run
The Navy Divers 50 K Run takes place on October 17, 2026 in Shearwater, Nova Scotia. The Fleet Diving Unit Atlantic organizes the event in support of the CTV Christmas Daddies telethon to raise funds for children in the Maritime Provinces.
The course covers 50 km in total, using the Shearwater Flyer Trail, Salt Marsh Trail and Atlantic View Trail. The route starts at the Shearwater Sports and Fitness Center and consists of a 25 km outbound leg followed by a 25 km return.
The run is open to both civilians and military participants. All profits from participant registration fees are donated to the Christmas Daddies charity. On-site registration is available.
There is a water station approximately every 10 km. A 7-hour time limit applies for completing the distance. Due to a limited budget, the event does not use chip timing; times are recorded with a stopwatch from race start to finish and results are collected and emailed to participants.
