Navajo Code Talker Honor Run

The Navajo Code Talker Honor Run is scheduled for August 14, 2026, National Code Talker Day, in Window Rock, Arizona. The event is hosted near the Navajo Nation Museum and Navajo Zoo, with parking available at the museum. Registration is open online through the morning of August 14 at the NavajoYES website and carries a fee of $20. The fee includes a performance shirt, a sticker, post race snacks and a choice of posters from the Navajo Code Talker Poster Series.

The course is 2 miles and follows the Code Talker Trail from the museum parking area up to the viewpoint of Window Rock Arch, returning to the start line. Organizers and tribal officials may make slight course variations. Packet pick up will be available on August 14 at the start/finish line.

Aid provisions include pre race breakfast bars, bananas and fluids at the start line, and post race snacks and drinks. This is a cupless event so participants should bring their own hydration system. The event is non competitive and there are no awards or prizes.
