Event Overview
The Naked Creek Trail Race is a trail running event scheduled for Saturday, March 7, 2026. It takes place at Panorama Farms in Earlysville, Virginia. This is the fourth annual edition of the race.
Course and Distances
The event features two distances:
- 25K (~15.5 miles)
- 10K (~6.2 miles)
Both courses consist of roughly 90% wooded singletrack or doubletrack trails and 10% open cross-country or jeep road. The routes wind along and across Naked Creek, offering views of the South Fork Rivanna River Reservoir and the Blue Ridge Mountains. The 25K course has approximately 2,300 feet of elevation gain/loss, while the 10K course has about 1,000 feet.
Location and Features
The race is held on the private trails of Panorama Farms, which are not normally open to the public, providing a rare opportunity to run them. Panorama Farms previously hosted the 2023 NCAA Cross Country Championship and is the home course for the University of Virginia (UVA) Cross Country team. The event is Trail Sisters-approved.
A portion of the race proceeds is donated to Panorama Farms to support its efforts in hosting local high school cross country meets. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
