Mulholland Under the Stars Trail Race

The event takes place on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Marvin Braude Mulholland Gateway Park in Tarzana, CA, with the start and finish at the trailhead lot. It is a night trail race run on fire roads and offers the following distances:

  • 10K Night Race
  • 5K Night Race

Course and logistics

Courses are fully marked and the park remains open to other users. Bib pick-up and packet pick-up are at the Start/Finish area. All runners must start with a working headlamp or flashlight that lasts the whole race; lights will be checked at bib pick-up and no light means no start per MRCA safety protocol. Course maps are available on Strava for both distances. Aid stations are located at Mile 1.5 and Mile 3.1 (turnaround). Sweepers will run ahead, mid-pack, and behind the field. Medical support is available at the Start/Finish, Mile 1.5, and Mile 3.1. Restrooms are porta-potties at the Start/Finish only. All finishers receive a medal and race shirt, available at the Finish.
